Living in these turbulent times has made finding moments of true peace challenging for me. The sudden changes have caused me to grow more anxious about my future and it was as though having peace over my circumstances was always escaping me.

But God has gracefully redirected my anxious thoughts and replaced it with His truths. I have experienced a newfound comfort knowing that because I am submitted to Him, my future is secure in His hands.

In Christ we have security in knowing that God has a good plan for all of us. He will never forsake us or abandon us. But sometimes our problems can cause us to temporarily lose sight of these truths.

When facing a roadblock, it is important to remember who your God is. He is your source of strength. Put your trust in him alone.

If you are in the midst of uncertain times and are lacking peace about your future, then let’s uncover some truths to get you back to the place of peace.

3 truths to help you find peace in uncertain times:

Pray and Release your Fears to God

Prayer is your weapon in reclaiming your peace. In prayer we are re-establishing our connection with God and when we reconnect with God, we will experience a restoration of our peace.

When we pray, we are activating our spirit to receive divine wisdom, and instructions to help us navigate the uncertainty that is troubling us.

Pause and meditate on the following scriptures.

Isaiah 26:3 states You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Remember that you are never alone. God is always with you. Be in regular communion with Him. He has the revelations you need and He is waiting for you to ask and receive it.

Silence the noise of the world and get into your secret place. Pray for God to give you clarity over what has you feeling unsettled.

Pray for God’s will for your life, pray for wisdom and Pray to experience God’s spirit more powerfully so that you can overcome any spirit of fear that has you gripped.

Find Scripture to pray over yourself to help you break free from uncertainty. God will respond to your petitions every time.

While in prayer be intentional about taking a moment to release your worries, your burdens, and your need to know how everything is going to work out.

Recall this scripture.

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

It is important that we take our concerns to the Lord as soon as we find ourselves starting to drift in an unfruitful state of worry.

Instead of ruminating on your anxious thoughts internally, open up and dialogue with God!

Let God shed light on your situation and lead you back on to the path of peace. A strong relationship with the Lord will solidify your peace of mind once again.

Lift Your up your Worship and Fix your mind on Jesus

I think it is universally known that whatever has our focus will ultimately determine the direction of our lives.

If we are consumed by our worries (some of which we may have no control over) then our life will be centered around our burdens. This will influence how we show up in the world.

In a way we are exalting these concerns and failing to trust in God’s faithfulness to see us through any trail in our life.

Instead of fixating on our worries we should focus on the Prince of Peace, Jesus!

Fix your eyes on Jesus and your life will follow him. You will experience more of Him and less of you and your anxiety surrounding your circumstances will diminish. Put your trust in God who will never fail you.

Get into a heart posture of worship and think of how many times God has shown up for you in the past.
He won’t stop now, you can be confident in knowing that God is always faithful to provide for our every need.

Psalms 56 3-4 states

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

Instead of worshiping your problems worship the Lord. You will experience the transformational power that is found in exalting the Lord over your circumstances.

He will renew your mind as you worship Him. You will be uplifted from a defeated mindset to a victor knowing you can do all things in Christ who strengthens you!

WHEN YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT the FUTURE REMEMBER THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD

When I am feeling overwhelmed with worry about my next steps what grounds me is remembering who God is.

He is faithful.

He is always with us- Omnipresent

He is all knowing- Omniscient

He is all powerful- Omnipotent

He never changes.

He is merciful, patient and He truly loves us. He wants nothing but the best for us.

When we worry about our future, we are dismissing the power of God, we are not trusting his plan for our lives, and we are failing to believe in his perfect timing.

We can’t afford to lose sight of how Good God is, and how gracious he is to bless us with a life filled with peace and abundance.

There are several scriptures that speak to the magnificence and faithfulness of our God. Find some that speak to your heart and who you need Him to be for you in your current situation.

Here are a few that have helped me.

Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

I pray that if you are struggling with uncertainty about your future that you run to your Heavenly Father today. He holds your future in his Hands.

You can rest and find peace knowing that your future is bright and glorious for the God of the universe is the author of your story. Rest in that truth!

Really loved this. God truly wants the best for us and sometimes we go through challenges and difficulties but He is too faithful to let us down. Reading this made me realized that my current state of worry is just so I could focus on God not the worries and trust in His promises because He fulfills them. He is my Alpha and Omega He will never leave me midway
