For much of my life I felt a longing to be accepted by others. I wanted to be seen, loved, and valued. From an early age right up to high school I was bullied and alienated for my imperfections.
I felt I didn’t belong, and that I couldn’t measure up to other’s expectations and standards. I was seeking validation from all the wrong people and places.
I’m forever thankful for the decision I made to give my life to Christ, it truly set my mind free. Through having a relationship with Jesus, I started uncovering all the misconceptions I held regarding what determines my worth. I started to see myself as God sees me.
The truth is in Christ we are inherently loved, accepted and worthy of the calling on our lives. We are image bearers of the one True God, let us never forget this.

We may not have control over other people’s need to point out our flaws or of incidences when we mistakenly put our value in things like our career, our houses, our looks, or our following counts but we can control our thoughts and beliefs surrounding this.
We must believe and declare God’s truth over our lives to remain free from placing our value in such things.
I advise you to declare the following biblical affirmations as you journey to rewriting any false beliefs you hold about yourself.
Remember you are more than what others think or say you are. You are who God says you are. You are a child of God, a powerful Confident Woman of God.
I want to invite you to internalize these scriptures daily until it is deeply rooted in your heart and mind. Until you see just how valuable you are to God.
Choose to declare them all daily or the ones that resonate the most with you.
